Seeking Resolution on Official State Christmas Tree

The IGIA and the Illinois Christmas Tree Association will seek an official state resolution for an official Illinois State Christmas Tree. Illinois is one of the few remaining states that does not have an official state Christmas tree.

Dept. of Agriculture Amends Gypsy Moth Quarantine

Boundaries include Cook, DuPage and McHenry counties. All nursery and lumber products must be inspected or certified before they can be transported out of the counties. Residents must personally inspect vehicles, tents, lawn furniture, bicycles and outdoor items for gypsy moth egg masses, live moths and caterpillars.
