Membership Categories and Fees

Active members are Illinois firms engaged in some manner in the sale of ornamental plants for the landscape. They include growers, retailers and landscapers. There are three (3) levels of dues based on the preceding year's gross sales and service.

Dues

Please add $50 for each additional location within the state and list a contact person and address for each additional location on the application form.

* Membership dues to the Illinois Green Industry Association are not tax deductible as charitable contributions. However, they may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses.

Allied Members

Allied members are individuals and distributors of horticultural equipment and supplies and out-of-state growers, retailers, and landscapers. Dues are fixed. ALLIED MEMBERSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE TO FIRMS ELIGIBLE FOR ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP.

Annual dues are $195.

Associate Members

Associate members are individuals who are employees of member firms, educators, government officials and others somehow associated with the green industry. Dues are fixed. ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ANY PERSON ELIGIBLE FOR ACTIVE OR ALLIED MEMBERSHIP.

Annual dues are $75.

Student Members

Student members are any full or part-time student studying Horticulture. STUDENT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ANY PERSON ELIGIBLE FOR ACTIVE, ALLIED OR ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP.

Annual dues are $25.

Retired Members

Retired members are individuals that have officially sold their business or who are not actively engaged in day-to-day operations of the business, serving previously as an "active member" as set forth under the guidelines of active membership.

 Annual dues are $75.
